This parking facility was designed to accommodate 600 BellSouth employees from the southern area of Atlanta, GA. The facility also serves the 250 MARTA patrons commuting to work on a daily basis. The project was developed under BellSouth/MARTA design restrictions and criteria. This influenced the floor-to-floor heights and parking space requirements. The facility is located adjacent to the existing College Park MARTA station. This deck is located within the Hartsfield/Jackson International Airport flight path area. The flight path intersects an elevation fifty feet above the grade of this site. The new parking facility consists of a four story, precast concrete structure with the upper floor being occupied by BellSouth. The facade of the new facility responds to the existing context through the use of surrounding colors and textures. The city of College Park has a very strong architectural brick context. The parking Facility and Business Center compliments the exiting context through the use of inlayed brick precast panels. The precast brick panel allows the erection process to be shortened, which saves the client valuable funds and time. J. W.
